Migs,
C'mon, you don't need a CS degree to understand code with algo. Why, because we can access the books, magazine and the Internet. Some books maybe expensive but do you really need a CS degree to understand them? I always believed that the written code is the best expression of the algorithm. I remember a test that Bill Gates (during the pre-DOS days) gives to prospective MS applicants. He gives them 20-50 pages of code to read overnight and the next day asks them to explain the code. I'm also thinking along the lines of writing programs as a hobby/fun to do. Enjoy writing software and share. In my recent post, when Linus release Linux, he received a lot of flack from Tanenbaum regarding writing a "monolithic" OS Kernel. Linus never cared 'cuz people were using Linux and making it better. Do you know anybody using Tanenbaum's Minix today? How about if we ask someone to volunteer for the SourceForge admin. I'll donate a 4-month old 30GB Seagate....
