#Well then, read the gnokii documentation first, before reading the #gnokii code. There is a lot of sight for cellphone technical data on #GSM.
Obviously, you haven't looked at gnokii documentation -- there's hardly any ;) Anyway, I found a few links at the gnokii FAQ about the protocols for a few Nokia phones. #But the one you are looking for is quite proprietary to each #cellphone manufacturer. Ericsson has their own SDK for handling events, #sending and recieving messages, ring tones, logos. Nokia has their own #SDK for that too, and so is Motorola. And gnokii in fact, can only work #so far in a Nokia 5110 handsets. Newer models require you to download #the manufacturer's SDK to do some low-level. # SDK won't fly -- I'm looking at writing a Java-based SDK ;) FYI I have a Nokia 6190 that works well with gnokii; so does my wife's Nokia 8190 using IR. stay cool. jeff -- -- Jeff Gutierrez Mapua Online! http://www.mapua.org http://www.mapua.com http://www.mapua.net Pinoy Ako!
