#_ yes i'm perfectly aware on that 'ethics' part. but yes, its just a
#_ closed group, and we can give rules. its for their good also. so
#_ deleting old mails in this case is 'authorized'.
#_
#_ if i'm an ISP, of course its always safe to say to the sender that
#_ the recepient's inbox is full. however, my case is that its my duty
#_ that the sender sucessfully sends the email and recepient gets the
#_ email also in spite of external factors (eg. his ISP strength, his
#_ inbox quota, etc). sucessfully sending out the important email from
#_ my system to his provider isn't counted as a success. having the
#_ recepient receive the email to his desktop makes the whole thing a
#_ success.
#_
#_ i run sendmail not qmail... so its quite tricky since sendmail stores
#_ inbox emails in one file.
#_
#_ anyways, back to the question. any script? where to get it?

I can suggest mboxgrep; you can make your own script incorporating
mboxgrep. You can also tell mboxgrep to just look at the headers.

http://public.srce.hr/~dspiljar/mboxgrep.html

mboxgrep --delete --headers \
         --(extended-regexp|basic-regexp|perl-regexp) \
         --mailbox-format=TYPE \
         <patern> <mailbox>

<patern> nalang ang problema.

It also comes with a spec file if you want to build your own rpm.
