#i agree with you on this one, doc. actually it depends on one's programming #preferences. i used to go to the computer and try to blast away and then #hit a wall later not knowing what to do next. nowadays i find it better for #me to think first, write down ideas/outlines then code away. i'm sure guys #like orly and dido like to program straight to the keyboard or so...but to #each his/her (in sacha's case!) own, i guess... #
Well, I guess that's how you separate hacks from maintainable code ;) But seriously, I personally spend 40-60% of my allocated time on a project doing design stuff using OO tools (interaction, event trace, software contracts, class diagrams, etc), and supporting documents.
