Over on the nlug.org site, we're using hypermail to do the archiving and
it works great.  Another programmer and I hacked it up so that all email
addresses are replaced with an image to thwart spammers.  There's an
article on the main page about doing it, but it's only part one of two
parts.  Still, it might make a good start.

Hypermail creates fully threaded and searchable archives.
