nope, I checked the MX records and they were, as far as I know, correct. In any case, the outside world can see me, it's just that when mails come in, my MTA can't seem to deliver them to the proper mail owner.
I suspect it has something to do with my mail virus scanner. I am using RAV Antivirus for Postfix, and whenever I install this product, I get that error message. But the thing is, this product has been installed in my system for about 6 months already, and this problem came just last night!!! Or is it maybe I transferred boxes for my mail server? 'Yoko na! Hirap!!! :) > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of vince cagud > Sent: Tuesday, January 22, 2002 1:10 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [plug] postfix problem > > > it would help if you'd give the actual domain so we could verify, i'm > assuming > that domain.edu.net is a generic name you gave to help describe ur prob. > anyway, i > suspect that the domain configured an MX without a corresponding A > record in > their dns. either that or they're having problems with their dns. > > check mo na rin dns mo...just in case server mo pala may prob. =) > > --vince. > > > Chris G Haravata wrote: > > >guys, what does this error mean? > > > >unable to find primary mail relay for domain.edu.net > > > >gulong-gulo na ako eh... > > > >----------------------- > >Spawn - The Scourge of the Damned > > > >Chris G Haravata > >IT Resource Officer-Magallanes > >Asia Pacific College (http://www.apc.edu.ph) > >#3 Humabon Place, Magallanes Subd., > >Makati City > >Tel No 8529232 loc 402 > >Cell No 0916.3500465 > >http://www.dynamicsms.com.au/intro.asp?ref=09163500465&refc=382 > > > > > > > >--- > >Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. > >Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > >Version: 6.0.313 / Virus Database: 174 - Release Date: 1/2/2002 > > > >_ > >Philippine Linux Users Group.
