Someone who is once again spreading these lies that have been disavowed
by Brian Bacquiran and other people who actually do the work of getting
Edsamail to run. As I recall, Brian stated categorically than Microsoft
did not and does not now have a stake in Edsamail. I believe there was
a thread here late last year about this thing, and Brian himself stated
that the reason why Edsamail had no support for platforms other than
Windows was that it was simply too expensive for them to maintain and
support this extra software. They once had a version that ran on Palm
computing devices but had to discontinue it because they simply did not
have the resources to do the inevitable maintenance and support such
released software would have. Any version for Linux would have the same
problems. And no, I believe Edsamail's business model totally precludes
it from becoming open source and farming out support and maintenance to
the community.

Well, yes, you are right that it is unlikely that Edsamail will ever
have Linux versions. But not because of MS.
