I tried to dual booted Win2k NTFS and Mandrake Linux 8.0 before and I was able
to detect my NTFS partition. If I still remember correctly, I just installed
Win2k NTFS first and Mandrake Linux 8.0. So far, Mandrake Linux 8.0
automatically detected the Win2k NTFS partition.

But I've read an article or doc which I really don't remember that when
installing Win2k NTFS and Linux in a single drive, you must set your MBR to your
first partition - your Win2k NTFS, and not to usual Linux partition.

...And that was before...
