apparently, that is what was originally thought to be. anyway, normally in
cases like such i use the NT bootloader to load the linux partition. i just
install lilo to the boot record of the linux partition and grab it using dd.
they i move this image to NT and let it boot from there. this method works
flawlessly. 

however, this time a conondrum happened and the NTFS partition information was
somehow ruined.

huh??

anyway, the MBR has the NT bootloader.
