.... as these "restrictions" commonly about certain very well known
pictures :-) just let me add a small comment to make it easier. 

squidguard is working fine but based on a blacklist. Dansguardian is 
better, it searches for certain key words. But some sites you need to 
exclude like common mail sites. Some people simply happen to use 
bad language in their e-mail :-) Both not perfect - but in Dansguardian 
you may include the blacklist from Squidguard, and you got yourself 
a pretty good filter going :-)

When allowed, and who really wants to read these banner adds, 
install adzap redirector to squid. All these well known banner 
redirected to a 1x1 clear gif on your server. Not downloading these 
browsing speed like doubled. But make sure there is enough RAM on 
your machine :-)

With dansguardian may exclude certain file types like exe, 
reducing the mess at some workstations. With squid can also 
limit the max size of file.
