to install red carpet just do rpm -ivh redcarpet.rpm or rpm -Uvh redcarpet.rpm. automatically this will be added into the rpm database and also yast. the 214MB worth of files you dloaded shld be ok though just let red carpet seach for it on your hard drive..i do have it on cd, just mail me your post office box privately and will slipd u a copy
