Compiled from source w/ all dependencies all in one command. Suck it.

Took something less than 7 hours for me to download AND compile BOTH X
and KDE3 with just one command - this is a new install of Gentoo:

emerge kde

( I typed that in before going to sleep, and it was all done in the
morning )

In that time, I could install and configure a dozen Debian setups...
Gentoo is a great distro, but there is no way in hell I'd ever survive
the compile times. I'm a "install tools as I need them" kind of guy.
