[plug] upgrading Mandrake 7.x to 8.x

Hello,   Just would like to get some inputs or opinions.  I have an old system with Mandrake 7.x installed.  I am just wondering if its possible to upgrade to 8.2 using the upgrade option and whether there will/is any problems with doing so.  I know installing from scratch is faster however, I have some other non-standard programs and scripts installed which complicates things.   Thanks.
