Do you have free unpartitioned space? You can try installing Solaris in a free 
unpartitioned space. That way, your linux installation will not be touched. If you 
don't have unpartitioned space and you've used up your hard disk space and still want 
to install Solaris, then I suggest you install a new hard disk for your Solaris OS. 
And I think Solaris has a boot manager(like LILO) to handle the booting. Hope this 
helps.
