We've been using Epson PC Point-of-Sale terminals in the shopping mall 
that we previously worked for. These are Pentium 133 with 32MB or 
RAM, S3Trio VGA, and a Phoenix BIOS. Sometimes when there's no 
display and the machine gives out long beep codes, we try to replace the 
memory with a good one and test. Sometimes memory is at fault. If 
memory's okay, we try replacing the video card with a good one. We 
find sometimes that a defective video card is the culprit. We've tried this 
test on several machines and most of the time it solves the problem. 
Some of the machines that we can never resuscitate have defective 
motherboards. These PCs are used 12hours/day 365 days a year.
