hello everybody...

im tasked to migrate more than 20 windows workstations to
linux+openoffice... installation is no problem... i want to centralize all
user management on a central computer/server... i see OpenLDAP and NFS can
do this (nfs to centralize user homes)... is there a better approach? is
OpenLDAP an overkill? (i tried NIS+ but i cant get my test client
workstation to authenticate to the test server... so i looked for another
way then i saw OpenLDAP)

if ldap+NFS is the best way, can you point me to some good sites with
guides (ldap and nfs beginner level) on how to to this?

altho ive been using linux for personal and small time linux installations
for companies for quite sometime now, im very very new to OpenLDAP and
NFS... i only got to the point of compiling and installing it...

thanks in advance and best regards...

gari

ps:

if there are people here who are kind enough to help me (thru email, for my
questions and some guidance) please do email me directly.. it will be very
much appreciated... :).. TIA :)
