Specifically, he was comparing the performance of two classes of hard
drives manufactured more than a decade apart.

Comparing 2002 ATA drives with 1992 SCSI drives, and then claiming based
on such a comparison that SCSI is relatively performance-limited
compared to ATA, just makes no sense at all.

I've gone over this several times.  Is the point unclear?
