Hi,

Sorry if this comes off as a silly question, but is it possible to make a
system/program qeury a particular nameserver listed in /etc/resolv.conf based on a
domain? I know this could probably be done using a small DNS (named), but I was
wondering if it was possible to do without that.

The reason is that there're 2 DNS servers in a system, one external and one
internal. The internal DNS gives the internal addresses of the hosts, whereas the
external DNS gives the external addresses. I know it should be as simple as querying
the internal DNS first, but let's just say that in this case I was asked not to.

The objective is that whenever clients request for the IP of hosts in our
domain, the system queries the internal DNS only, and the external DNS for everything
else, hence querying a particular nameserver based on the domain.

        Any suggestions? :)
