I just wanna share my CPU temp obsession I had a few months ago. I have an AMD Athlon 1.13 GHz (TB) at home, Epox 8kHA+ mobo. A few days after getting my precious (hehe), I went to a nearby machine shop, had someone put holes on the side and top platings of my case, went home, installed the fans on the holes (incoming air on side, outgoing on top). Also, with a BIG fan in front and the usual at the back (4 fans total), I was able to keep my temps down enough to satisfy me. Haven't used the rounded IDE cables yet, but I will, when my obsession starts again :D My current CPU temp when idle is 38C, and 45C (max) right after a loong FPS gameplaying. It used to be 40-41C but as I added a CD writer drive in there, and as dust accumulates inside, temp. rises too. System temp is around 33-37C, depending on CPU temp. Of course, my overly powerful 7000rpm CPU fan helps a lot too :) And I still yearn for those water-cooled systems... -- Joon Guillen ================================ So computers are tools of the Devil? thought Newt.
