Check your routing tables too. All the other machines must use the box that's directly connected to your ISP as their default gateway. Maybe I've stated what's already obvious to you but just in case, you can add a default gateway by doing this: route add default gw <IP address or host name of gateway> Take note you don't do this on the gateway itself since the route is dynamically created by the ppp program. Many MTA hold mail undelivered due to "can't establish connection" error for some days in the queue and will try delivering it continually until its lifetime in the queue lapses.
