hi, i've read the software-raid-howto and it seems that the author hasn't tested using raid with SCA (hot-swap). does someone have experience with hot-swap raid? i have 3 10k rpm scsi disks on hot-swap backplane running on rh7.3. after software raid was in place, i pulled out one disk. in /proc/mdstat, it was recognized that /dev/sdb3 failed. i then inserted the disk again and ran raidhotadd /dev/md2 /dev/sdb3. the error was "Device is busy". i had to reboot to reconstruct the raid array. this is unacceptable. i know this is not a new technology and i believe someone out there has done and solved this problem.
Thanks in advance. Regards, Allan __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Sign up for SBC Yahoo! Dial - First Month Free http://sbc.yahoo.com _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
