Don't forget forwarding, this is important. I couldn't remember the exact
attribute:
it's something like net.ipv4.forwarding or if you are using redhat, you can
just
set the FORWARDING to TRUE or YES in /etc/sysconfig/networks or
/etc/sysconfig/network. I don't have any linux right now. :)

The former, you can set it via echo command but this will only become active
after you execute it. You can insert it in a start-up script. The latter
will keep the configuration even after your reboot it. And for this to take
effect, you must reboot. The former, doesn't need a reboot.
