Hi Reynald,

Thanks for the help. My problem is that the proxy server is outside our private LAN and I dont have administrative access to it. My Linux box sits in between our private LAN and the proxy server, and Im looking for options on how to peek-in in every http request passing through my box and somehow filter them.

The trick here would be to implement filtering on your proxy server.  If you're using squid... better!! Squidguard is common for squid users and a lot of good feedback from dansguardian.

Our workstations browser points to a caching proxy server which is outside our private LAN.  Im using IPCHAINS to filter packets passing through our firewall. Is there a way for me to block http requests to a specific URL coming from these workstations?  I suspect the browser changes the original destination address of the packet to the address of the proxy. Can IPCHAINS inspect through that reconstructed packet?
