Back when my brother and I both actively used nothing but MS-DOS and
Windows, I remember the pain of running
C:\> deltree /y *.*
Without remembering exactly where we were. A quick Ctrl-Break would help
but still, the pain of all those files getting lost.
And then in Linux there are painfully sleepy nights when accidentally
hostname:/# rm -fR *
It is for this reason that I never go running around as root, and I make
sure I blink at least thrice before doing a massive removal especially
on the data partitions. ;)
