printing using apsfilter would be easier. just tell apsfilter to use the appropriate gimp driver for yout HP610c. apsfilter would then create a printer entry in /etc/printcap. i replaced the default lp entry in printcap to match my apsfilter entry so that programs that print using the default printer (usually configured as a dot matrix) such as mozilla, gedit and the like would still print correctly. if only i could make remote printing from windows to linux work...
