#has anybody in this list successfully ported a digital camera to #linux? what distro are you using? my camera uses USB. any insight #would be greatly appreciated. #
I have a Canon G2 which I've been using with my Mandrake-based laptop since late last year. The camera has a USB interface which it uses to chit-chat with other devices. On the laptop side, I use a commandline tool called gphoto2 that comes with the gphoto 2.0 library. If you prefer a GUI frontend, you can use a GUI wrapper for ghoto2 like GnoCam, Kamera, gphoto1, etc. Supported Cameras in gPhoto 2.0 http://www.gphoto.org/cameras.html stay cool. jeff -- -- Jeff Gutierrez ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Pinoy Ako!
