Gcc-3.2 can now compile glibc-2.2.5, and the new library
produced actually works with existing programs that are linked
against the old glibc (compiled with gcc-2.95.3). The trouble is
the new "ldconfig" produced with glibc-2.2.5 by the gcc-3.2 compiler
can not see the other libraries that are not part of the the glibc
package. For example libXuu.so is not part of the glibc package
and so can not be seen by ldconfig, and so can not be seen by the
xserver, which of course fails. Many other programs fail because
of this. Will recompiling everything solve the problem?
