Skills Required: Experienced in Linux/Unix Programming; familiar with the Linux/Unix development tools.
Experienced in Linux/Unix Systems Engineering, experienced in advanced Linux/Unix system administration. Job Description: Linux Systems Programming and Systems Engineering Duties and Responsibilities: Install, setup and configure OS not limited to: Debian Linux; Gentoo Linux; FreeBSD (and the BSD family); and the like. Install, setup and configure: XFree86; Window manager(s); WINE; and MS Office. Optimized the installation setup and configuration of the above mentioned components. Working with source codes. Applying code patches and tweaks to the: WINE project; a Window Manager; writing a few utilities in scripts or compiled source, and the like. This could involve working with source code and writing c/c++, perl or python code. Create a basic linux distribution or configuration. Document every step of the process as required. Scope: Install, setup and configuration of: an OS; a linux kernel; XFree86; WINE; and MS Office. Research and Development of a linux distribution and similar kernels and OS. Document every step of the process as required.
