Good day to all! For the past years I have been using REDHAT distro on my servers. Its really easy to use and easy to install the only problem is that every time I use RH I have this feeling that my servers are not that secured.
Last week I installed RH 7.2 as a WEB server...2 days after it was hacked. As much as i want to use the newer versions it seems like its easy for everybody to get into my system. Thats why i cannot upgrade my TRUSTIX servers.. After I installed it that hacking stopped. I hope you can give me some advice on how to secure my servers.. I want to use latest distros but i dont know how and what to secure first. Questions: 1. Do I have to try other distros? What can you suggest? 2. Security threaths that I need to look at?
