now that last comment definitely constitutes a flame-bait. GNU/Linux
software loosely belongs to the 'alpha' software category and they are
constantly changing and evolving. as have been previously mentioned a
countless of times, a distro is a collection of software projects. if
distro A used project gamma version x and it was known that that
particular version has a security catch _after_ it was released, then
you as a non-compulsory user has the option to patch it or not.

saying a distro suck because they included a project that sends out
patches is pretty much a trolling act when the distro developers have
tried their best to produce a good release. if you dont want to use
*relatively* bleeding edge software then dont. do i say debian suck
because most packages in the newest release is old? i would even dare
hint it as i have great respect for all those who volunteered time,
skills and effort in its development. GNU/Linux is all about choice,
there are lots of projects for a certain task. choose what fits you and
criticize constructively what does not. if you did not pay the cook,
dont damn the food.

*now puts on flame-retardant armor*

ciao!
