Hi Dennison,

This is a rather late reply, but O'Reilly has a sample chapter online
from "BGP: Building Reliable Networks with the Border Gateway
Protocol" that might be interesting and informative to read. <a
href=http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/bgp/chapter/ch06.html>Here is the
article on Traffic Engineering</a>.

It discusses in detail what you might need to know in planning and
implementing such.
