In my /etc/profile, I use
dircolors -b /etc/DIR_COLORS to colorize my virtual terminals, and setterm -blank 15m to do terminal blanking after a default time of 15 minutes of inactivity. The trouble is setterm does not do perfect blanking of the colorized tty, but blanks only the whites and grays, but not the colors (greens, blues, etc). What am I doing wrong here?
