This page lists which BT devices work with BlueZ, the stack used on the
Familiar distro:

When I followed the link to the Ambicom driver, it was not available for
download yet.

I forgot to mention that when the device was returned, the tech guys at
Mobile1 weren't even able to make it work on Windows.  So it could have
been a hardware problem as well.
