Arvin,

It would make your life much easier (and your linux server more
maintanable) if you installed and used a postfix RPM rather then doing it
from scratch.

.. has links to postfix RPMS pre-built for RedHat.

If you are really interested to see how postfix is built under redhat,
download the SOURCE rpm, unpack it with rpm -i, go to
/usr/src/redhat/SPECS and view the postfix.spec file, which contains the
commands to build postfix.
