in older versions (6.2, 7.x), one or more of the CDs contained
proprietary "bundled" programs or demos. that last CD was usually
not legal to distribute or copy and give away since the software
there was owned by other parties. i don't use redhat anymore, so i
don't know if that's still true. i think it's likely. with mandrake,
and i think SuSe, at one point they shipped win4lin, maybe even
vmware demos on the proprietary CD.
