Sorry, I just realized the error isn't exactly the same.  Mine is:

unable to acquire qmail-pop3d/supervise/lock: temporary failure

My qmail-smtp and qmail-send services, also under supervise, doesn't
generate any errors, while the run settings in all three are identical. 
Also, whenever I reboot, the error appears, but as soon as I do an "svc
-d / svc -u" (restart), the errors disappear.

Any help would be appreciated :)
