this error reports that your startup config tried to add an IP Route to a
network with an unreachable gateway address.  in most cases,  that means
you entered the wrong IP of your default gateway.

gateways always have more than one IP addresses. be sure you use the 
one that is adjacent with the network your box belongs to,
and make another shot at it using:  

        route add default gw <correct-gateway-address>
