My reply is kinda late. Anyway what application will you use it for? If all
you'll do is to send/receive SMS through your computer then Nokia+GNokii or
any GSM cellphone with GSM Modem + GSMLib is all that you need. If you're
planning to use it for something that needs to run 24 hrs (like corporate
messaging, those chat things you see on TV, etc), you'll need something
else. Like This one:

I believe this is available locally, but the cost is around 15k to 20k. But
it is defintely more reliable than a GSM cellphone with an AC Adapter. :)
BTW, gmlib works on this machine because it's a GSM modem.
