I'd like just a data point for now. Does anyone have pptpd on Mandrake 9.0
(or any older Mandrake) working with win98 (or Win2000) VPN connections
and MPPE? i've been trying to get things working and things are not
working for me. It looks like the 2.4.19 Mandrake kernel does not have
ppp-mppe built into it (pppd has mppe related strings, so it probably supports
mppe. it's the kernel patches that aren't in there i think). Is it in there
and I just can't find it? Mandrake is built to be as modular as possible,
so i think it should be in there as a module, but I don't see it.
I can't rebuild my kernel for now since I use the Win4Lin Mandrake 9.0 kernel
and i need Win4Lin even more than I need pptpd working :). pptpd is just
for testing. I'm aware of freeswan, etc but I want to just test pptpd for
now.
