He had valid points (with regards to computer-science issues), such as
his famous "why GOTO is considered evil" piece. He might be loud, but
that ain't trolling (history decided that, I think). 

Unfortunately, the modern-day troll doesn't even make sense, nor valid
points for their behavior, when they pull off their stunts. :-(
