Also, for rather odd reasons that arose in years past, I've accumulated
a list of a bit over 100 Linux-based IDE / GUI-builder / Rapid
Application Development tools, here:

Why?  Because there used to be a time when anti-Linux people commonly
said "Linux sucks as a development environment because there are no IDEs." 
So, I made a huge list of ones I could find, allowing pro-Linux people
to cite the above URL in debates, and suddenly you stopped hearing that
objection.

By the way:  If anyone asks "Are there any good e-mail programs for
