I've been trying to tune my hard drive parameters via

how to remedy the situation?
Does this board have built-in video, and the video shares memory with the main memory? If it is, I had one before and it's really slow. The solution was I used a PCI video card. Since then, all disk I/Os have become faster. Must be because the built-in video is hogging some of the bandwith supposed to be used by other things that needs access to memory. The machine is dual-boot. I also have the same problem with the DarkSide OS until I used an old S3 Virge video card from on of my spare parts at home.
