on this note, i think it's high time that plug (or openminds) should
come up with several studies -- real ones -- that highlight the current
and future uses of linux and open source software in general, as well as
the benefits and realities in using and developing these technologies.

it is easier said than done, and IMHO advocacy is not enough especially
if you dont have facts to back you up. although experience counts a lot,
to a skeptic however, facts would hit harder. and to the uninformed,
facts are just what they need to be informed with.

of course, a bunch of facts would be nothing if it wasn't presented
properly and put to good use. and this i think is what is still lacking,
aside from a massive information drive. as for the information drive,
facts would give it a solid foundation, and everything else that should
follow would have little trouble if the facts were laid down and
utilized properly.

this is all, IMHO. just my 2 cents worth. but i would gladly like to
contribute my share to this movement that i believe is very essential
not only to me, but to the world in general.
