i believe the white paper will be more believeable if they tackle companies or individuals residing here in the Philippines, and not some success story of another country. what better way of advocating Linux than our own success stories?

Ahh, I changed my mind. Gonzales may not know much about Linux and the Open Source Movement. He may be just taking a pragmatic approach. If it will help, make references to the case of "Kochi Free Software User's Group & the [EMAIL PROTECTED] Program" that happened in India. I trust that it still can be found in the searchable archives? And as mentioned further down this thread, create some serious studies and gather materials. I gather we will all put together effort collecting materials, info, case studies, etc? Now won't that be something? Short of changing the world? =) Art On Friday 21 February 2003 13:12, you wrote: > On Fri, 21 Feb 2003 12:51:02 +0800 > > "CG Haravata" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > whoa! stop right there, people. it is possible that he doesn't know > > anything about Linux, that's why he wanted it studied further. probably > > what openminds (or plug, for that matter) can do is help him along in > > this getting-to-know-Linux process... whaddyathink? > > Maybe what we can do is find out who or which committee is making the paper > and provide them with materials that have been published or released on the > Internet. > > Alternatively, someboby from PLUG can create a white paper and submit it to > NCC. > > Somebody should also monitor when this paper will be coming out and to > provide PLUG copies of it. > > > Holden _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
