for databases, it would depend on the database server you use. MySQL has its own replication engine and it works pretty well. PostgreSQL has some contributed replication utilities and results vary from one solution to the other. for files (e.g. scripts, HTML files, etc.) your best bet is rsync. most likely your Linux distro already has rsync; otherwise just download and compile one (google is your best bet). -dre _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
