I have tried both windows media player format and real player.  My experience with 
ffmpeg is more experimental than any thing else.  BTW, ffmpeg developers still 
consider ffmpeg to be a beta product. But it worked when I tested it and had no 
problems.  If I am not mistaken other OSS streaming projects use ffmpeg in the 
background.
