You'll need at least one extra machine if you want to do load balancing
with Linux Virtual Server.  In addition to your three servers, you need
at least one LVS Director machine to do the load balancing; two if you
want it to be fault-tolerant because if the director goes down, your web
servers become inaccessible, and set them up as Linux-HA cluster.
