CL-MD5620DT is a winmodem, and as such, is not supported under Linux. Sorry about this. You can get a heartache, but there is no official kernel support for Winmodems. yet. Moreyra's driver is alpha software, and so is not guarranteed to work. He claims that it is written as a kernel module, but he does not even indicate in which part of the source tree to put his code. Compiling it stand-alone outside of the /usr/src/linux tree produced so many error messages. I know that the CLModem-0.3.0 directory must be placed inside the /usr/src/linux/drivers directory somewhere, and then the files Config.in and Makefile in the directory containing CLModem-0.3.0 must be modified to include the directory for the CL modem. Which subdirectory? I do not know. You can try /usr/src/linux/drivers/char but this is a wild guess. P~Manalastas _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
