One of the very few proprietary Web servers available for Linux. It's apparently very fast (at least, judging from their employees who try to astroturf every on-line discussion of Web servers), but, on the other hand, even Apache can saturate a T-1 line easily. Now, if you want a fast, conservatively written _open source_ httpd with an excellent likelihood of high security going forward, there are lots of those: thttpd boa WN Mathopd Yaws Seminole chttpd xs-httpd I've used Boa in a high-security business environment, and been very happy with it, particularly since its configuration style makes it easy to move to from Apache. -- Cheers, I've been suffering death by PowerPoint, recently.
