Cool. I checked the manual page of setpci and can't figure out exactly
what the instructions mean, though, which is probably expected because
the tail ends of all the commands are hardware-level operations.  Would
you have any document that explains what these otherwise
incomprehensible commands do to achive the claimed CPU cooling on
Athlons?

I'm also curious: Do they affect the performance of CPU-intensive
operations? Do they make any difference if the CPU is utilized 100% all
the time, as is the case with all my 24x7 machines that run dnetc
(distributed.net client)?
