Cool. I checked the manual page of setpci and can't figure out exactly what the instructions mean, though, which is probably expected because the tail ends of all the commands are hardware-level operations. Would you have any document that explains what these otherwise incomprehensible commands do to achive the claimed CPU cooling on Athlons? I'm also curious: Do they affect the performance of CPU-intensive operations? Do they make any difference if the CPU is utilized 100% all the time, as is the case with all my 24x7 machines that run dnetc (distributed.net client)? --> Jijo -- Federico Sevilla III : http://jijo.free.net.ph : When we speak of free Network Administrator : The Leather Collection, Inc. : software we refer to GnuPG Key ID : 0x93B746BE : freedom, not price. -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
